South America

Groundbreaking opportunities for the use of renewable energies are also opening up in South America. wpd has been committed to the South American sub-continent since 2009.

In Chile, the company participated successfully in extensive calls for applications in 2016 with the result that wpd is currently implementing three projects with a total output of 367 MW there. Projects with a total capacity of approx. 500 MW are in the pipeline. With four local offices, wpd is making a commitment to present assignments and future projects.
